This is what REALLY clean clothes smell like

Today I had an epiphany. I smelled — for the very first time — what truly clean clothes smell like.

Interestingly enough, they don’t smell like line-dried clothes (which to me, smell dirty. We call that smell “outdoorsy.”)

They don’t smell like perfumes, scents, or “summer rain.”

They don’t smell like unscented detergent.

In fact, they don’t smell at all.

They smell like nothing.

It is a completely neutral smell — a complete absence of smell.

Apparently that’s how truly clean clothes smell (or, more accurately, don’t smell!)

Here’s what happened.

Monday is laundry day in my house. I rarely do any work on Mondays, instead allocating this first day of the week for “domestic duty.” Typically, on Mondays, I run the kids to school and spend the day straightening the house, doing ALL of the laundry (yes, you read that right, it blows people’s minds but a family of 4 can really just do laundry 1 day a week. Period.) planning meals for the week, and grocery shopping. Sometimes I throw in something extra, like purging the toy room of broken or non-played-with toys we plan to donate, or cleaning out the car or going through the kids’ closets to put away all the outgrown clothes. I also volunteer in my daughter’s classroom for an hour every Monday. Sometimes I also go shopping or run errands.

Every Monday is Domestic Day in our household. The way I look at it, I get all the boring stuff out of the way on day 1 of each week, then I don’t have it hanging over my head for the rest of the week. Hey, it works for us.

On this particular Monday, I was dismayed to discover that we were completely out of laundry detergent. Not a drop in the house.  And I really wanted to get that first load of laundry going, since I had other errands, volunteering, etc. to handle in the morning.

While expressing my annoyance to Andy, he suggested we try some Strong Kangen water (pH 11.5) in place of detergent. Strange as this sounds, it wasn’t groundbreaking — our friend Ed had already tried it, loved it, and told us about it maybe 2 months ago.

OK, why not, I figured. I’ll start with a load of towels and if it sucks, I’ll just postpone doing any more loads until I can run to the store to get some “All Free & Clear.”

I never made it to the store. I am happy to tell you that right now — as I type this — the buzzer on the dryer is going off, letting me know the final load of laundry is ready for folding and hanging, and I didn’t use one single drop of laundry detergent today.

HELLO!

We washed whites & lights in warm/cold and added 1 1/2 quarts of strong Kangen water once the washer was filled and the agitation started. Used the toploading bleach dispenser to add the 11.5 pH water. Did the same on cold/cold for brights & darks. Used my normal stain remover for food stains on the kids clothes and everything worked like a charm.

When the wash cycle finished for that first load of towels, I took each towel out and gave it a good long sniff. Couldn’t smell a thing. Which really amazed me, because Wednesday’s pool towels from swim lessons had been sitting in the hamper for 4 days.

Interesting.

I proceeded cautiously with a load of lights. Again no smell whatsoever. Before and after drying.

Amazing.

So THIS is what clean clothes really smell like? Scratch detergent off my shopping list, because apparently I won’t be needing it anymore.

I just fall more and more in love with my Kangen water machine. Want one of your own? Call Andy today at 303.834.7678 and see how many items you can cross off your shopping list with this one amazing contraption!

Enagic Global Expansion Driven by My Kangen Power

HAVELOCK, NC, January 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ — Enagic International is expanding globally in 2010 with planned openings in Europe, Australia, and Dallas, Texas. As the firm expands the distribution of its Kangen water electrolysis water generators worldwide, the addition of these three offices will strongly position the firm to create a greater market share as well as spread the global philosophy of Triple Health (bodily, financially and mentally). The growth of Enagic has been powerfully driven by its largest distributor support center in North America, My Kangen Power.

Enagic International is currently celebrating its 36th year as the industry leader in the water-ionization market. Enagic water, also known as Kangen water, is a result of years of ground-breaking research by scientific pioneers in Japan. Enagic’s state-of-the-art filtration systems provide the user with the most balanced, oxygenated form of water on the planet. Through the process of ionization, Enagic water reduces all toxins and impurities in tap water. The resulting alkaline structure is an effective antioxidant which can slow the effects of aging and help reverse disease. Once only used to treat hospital patients in Japan, Enagic or Kangen water is now quickly becoming a household name in the United States. For more information about Enagic water, please visit http://www.enagic.com/en/.

As expansion continues, more distributors are needed. To explore the costs and benefits of becoming a distributor of Kangen water and Kangen water machines, call Andy today at 303.834.7678 or visit BeyondKangenWater.com

Hooray for Earth Day!

Earth Day was first designated in 1970, and is now on April 22 each year. Earth Day was designed to promote awareness of environmental issues. How will you celebrate Earth Day today?

Heck, make it a whole month — go crazy. Here are a few simple ideas:

- wear earth colors (green, brown or blue)
- plant a tree, shrub, bush, flower, seed, whatever
- start a garden – herbs, flowers, butterfly, vegetable, or a mixture
- make a hanging bird feeder from a pinecone smeared with peanut butter and rolled in birdseed or oats
- recycle something into something useful
- turn off lights you’re not using
- donate stuff you’re not using to an organization who can sell it, fix it up, or turn it into something else
- join a Freecycle group in your area (or if there isn’t one already, start one)
- learn something new about the environment
- buy as little as possible
- avoid buying stuff that uses a ton of packaging (e.g, opt for a brick of cheese instead of a package of presliced, individually wrapped cheese pieces)
- start a compost
- avoid disposable water bottles (a good practice any day!)

And here are some ideas for Earth Day fun with kids:
- teach children about recycling or donating old or used toys
- visit the library for books, videos, and possibly scheduled activities about Earth Day
- pick up litter and dispose of it properly
- talk about recycling — what it is, how it works, and why it’s important
- visit a farmers’ market (or better yet, a farm!)
- create an earth day craft (bird feeder, bird house, recycled art, etc.)
- walk or ride a bike instead of using your car

However you choose to celebrate Earth Day, make it a happy one!

Graduating from Herbs to Vegetables

OK we’re rocking the herb garden. Fine. But apparently that wasn’t enough for Andy. Now he’s got this wild hair and decided to do a whole vegetable garden thing.

I think it’s a wee bit crazy for a number of reasons, not the least of which is who the heck is going to take care of all these blossoming vegetables while we’re away on our long summer trip? I guess whoever housesits for us better have a green thumb, or else there’ll be hell to pay when we get back.

Anyway, he talked me into this whole project BEFORE letting me know that we were starting most of these projects indoors. In my kitchen no less. Yowsa.

(Fortunately, acid water with a pH of 2.5 makes cleanup a breeze. Now my only beef is with the encroachment into my precious counter top real estate.)

Broccoli, celery, green onions, poblano peppers, green peppers and banana peppers are already underway, all started from seeds. The broccoli is devouring Kangen water with a pH of 9.5 and we had to re-transplant the seedlings within about 5 days. Next to shoot up was the green onion, and peppers are in close pursuit.

In addition to watering these herbs with Kangen 9.5, we have a heating pad (set on low, only stays on about 8 hours a day) placed underneath the mini-greenhouse. Got that tip from a guy Andy met in Home Depot who grows “alternative” herbs and man, he was spot-on. Hey, for all we know, it could be medicinal marijuana — it’s now legal in Douglas County.

At any rate, the seeds are sprouting and everything’s growing like edible weeds (I ate one of the broccoli sprouts that didn’t make it through the transplant process. Yum! Like salad sprouts, only a bit spicier. Loved it.)

Will keep you posted with pix as we progress.

Ewwww…Something on the Counter Is Sticky !

Have you ever had that experience where you (or perhaps the kids in your household) served yourself some yummy red Jell-O and you spilled a little but you didn’t quite clean it up right away?

And then a day or two later you noticed it, but by then it’s sticky and gross and practically bonding its molecules to the counter or floor?

And then if you can actually scrub and scrub with hot water or your strongest cleaning supply, the sticky comes off but the red stain remains?

C’mon, you can admit it. I’ll admit it — it happened to me today.

But instead of scrubbing, I sprayed some strong acidic water (pH 2.5) on it. Fixed myself a glass of 9.5 pH drinking water, came back and was amazed to see the whole thing — sticky, icky, and stain — came off easily with one light sweep with a dry paper towel.

Amazing. I love my Kangen machine!

Breaking New Ground: The Ultimate De-Greaser

OK so I’ve read (probably like you have) that strong Kangen water with a pH of 11.5 is supposedly a phenomenal de-greaser.

Today I put it to the test.

I tackled the impossible: my “stainless steel” stove.

I have a gorgeous stainless steel gas stove. Only I’ve never actually seen it “gorgeous” because of the accumulated grease that has been present since long before we moved in.

After countless professional cleanings, the grime around the burners just wouldn’t budge.

Then our middle power boil burner flaked out, and we called in a handyman who wound up having to disassemble a couple of the burners. While he had one completely dismantled, we apologized for the icky grease that just couldn’t be removed and he whipped out his trusty straight blade and went to work.

After creating some minor scratches in the stainless (*sigh*) he was able to remove some of the caked-on grease. But only on one burner.

And so it remained. Until today.

Andy was cleaning the stove (to remove the removable mess and food particles that had fallen below the grate) and I said — hang, on let’s see how good this 11.5 pH water really is.

So I used a syringe to squirt some water on and around the base of each burner (didn’t want to douse the whole setup, as that often causes the ignitors to get wet, which puts the whole stove out of commission for a half hour or so. And hey, we never know when we’re gonna get hungry, you know?)

Then I set a timer for 15 mins and went off to meander around Facebook for awhile.

When I returned after the timer went off, I was shocked and amazed at how easily — and completely — this impossible grease came off. Two burners required me to re-apply and let it sit for 5 minutes to get the final bits of grease removed, but as of now my stove is shining gloriously. See for yourself.

And all with just WATER. Amazing.

Now I’d love to know how to get my annoying hard wood floors to produce that kind of shine. Will keep you posted on that.

Benefits of Strong Acid Water?

This will conclude our 5-part segment on uses for the different pH waters you can make with a Kangen water ionizer. In this piece, we’ll look at uses for strong acid water.

Strong acid water (pH 2.5-3.0) is what comes out of the secondary tap when you’re making strong Kangen water (11.0-11.5) and man, are there a TON of uses for this highly acidic water.

Remember — acid water is NOT for drinking! But instead, you CAN use it for:

- Disinfecting.
In 2002, in accordance with the Food Hygiene Law, strong acid water was approved for the use of disinfecting food products. Use Strong Acidic Water to sanitize kitchen utensils, countertops, etc. to keep areas safe and free of germs. Clean up and disinfect after preparing meat, poultry, eggs, seafood, etc.

- Sanitizing.
Sanitize knives, cutting boards, dish towels, and kitchen cloths etc. Clean and disinfect in and around the kitchen, which is a breeding ground for germs. For an even more powerful disinfecting effect, clean with Strong Kangen Water® before using Strong Acidic Water. Because of the strong acidity, metal that rusts easily should be wiped with a dry cloth.

- Hygiene.
Disinfect your hands, your toothbrush or use the water to brush your teeth with or as mouth wash. Keep a spray bottle in your bathroom for easy access. If one of your children gets sick, you can wipe down surfaces, clean toothbrushes, etc. with strong acid water.

- Health.
Clean minor cuts, scratches, abrasions and skin surface wounds. Gargle for sore throats. Use as a rinse or mouthwash to kill germs. Got pink eye? Rinse your hands with acid water in place of antibacterial chemical sanitizer. Clean medicine dispensers and cups, drinking cups, sport bottles, plus descale kettles, remove burned-on food from pots or pans, etc. Strong acid water kills 99.5% of germs on contact.

- Commercial operations.
Beauty salons, hair salons, restaurants, agricultural colleges, daycare centers, pet shops, clinics, and nursing homes can all benefit greatly from Strong Acidic Water.

How many different types of cleaning products do you have in your household right now? What if you could replace them ALL with a single machine that also happens to make the best drinking water on the planet?

There are so many reasons for owning a Kangen water machine! Contact us today to learn more.

Stuff You Can Do with Acidic Water

I know what you’re thinking…if you’re supposed to drink alkaline water, then why does the Kangen water machine even come with a setting for acid water?

Like I’ve said — this is an extremely versatile water machine! In addition to producing the best, healthiest drinking water on the planet, there’s plenty of other uses for this machine — including acid water.

Remember, when the water passes through the ionizer, it is divided by alkalinity…that’s why there is a secondary hose that drains water at the same time that you are making Kangen water out of the primary hose.

Think about Japanese philosophy for a second….efficiency, precision, and efficacy.

If the pH must always add up to 14, then that means 2.5 pH acid water is being produced at the same time that you are making 11.5 pH alkaline water.

No, you can’t drink that acid water (why would you want to?) but there’s heaps of other things you’ll use it for.

Acid water with a pH from 5.0-6.0 is considered “weak acid water” that can be used:

- as an astringent, effective for toning and firming the skin for a more youthful appearance
- as an after-shave just after bathing or shaving, while pores are open
- as a tonic added to your bath water
- as a refreshing, toning spritzer for your face and skin
- in place of conditioner after shampooing. Reduces annoying tangles and brings out a radiant shine.
- spray lighting on children’s hair to add shine and reduce flyaways
- for cleaning glass, eyeglasses, sunglasses, jewelry, gemstones, crystals, and for polishing metal.
- for making tempura batter
- for boiling noodles
- for adding texture and lustre to udon, soba, and pasta, etc. Enjoy the gourment taste of raw udon and soba. Also perfect for noodle rinsing, tempura batters, and boiling eggs (keeps them from cracking and keeps yolks centered; makes boiled eggs easy to peel).
- for freezing: spray foods before freezing to help retain flavor after thawing (especially fish and shrimp)
- for pet care: spray your pet with this water and brush afterwards to obtain soft and shiny fur.
- for cleaning: remove dirt from hardwood floors, ceramic tiles etc. without leaving a sticky residue.

When you start adding up all the things you’ll no longer need to buy once you have a Kangen water machine, it just starts to make sense. And I know I for one LOVE to buy just one thing that can serve me and make my life easier in countless ways.

Contact us today to learn more about how you can do all this and more with your very own alkalizer.

Why is there a neutral water setting on my alkalizer?

“Clean water” is the name your Kangen water machine will announce when you press the green button to make 7.0 pH water.

But I remember when we ordered our machine I said, “Why? We’ll probably never use that one.”

You’d be surprised….

The only bottled water I know of with a true pH of 7.0 just so happens to be the bottled water that was my favorite (before I discovered Kangen water — and then avoided bottled waters altogether!). Yep, I’m talking about Fiji. Never touched by human hands, Fiji water goes straight from the aquifer into a bottle that gets sealed and delivered to you. That’s good stuff (especially as far as bottled waters are concerned). Of course, it doesn’t have as good of an ORP (oxygen reduction potential) as Kangen water, but at least Fiji is neutral, so you could do a lot worse that that.

But why would you want to drink neutral water if you had a machine that makes Kangen water?

Here’s a few uses:

1 – Making baby formula, rice cereal, or baby food.

2 – Taking medications. (Taking meds with alkaline water can possibly alter the effects of certain medications, so to be safe, it makes sense to drink completely clean, neutral pH water with your meds.)

This water is free from chlorine, rust and cloudiness, and it is quickly absorbed by your body.

OK, so it’s not the sexiest setting on the machine. But it’s nice to have when you need it!
